Pipeline Receiving Station is located in OFC permises,

Aviation Fuel Services S.A company (www.ofc.gr) facilities in the “Eleftherios Venizelos” Athens International Airport and includes the outlet isolation valve of the pipeline, the airport isolation valve, the scraper receiver trap, the pipeline pressure control valve and the airport metering station.

The outlet isolation valve of the pipeline and the airport isolation valve are above ground, motor operated full bore, double block & bleed gate valves with welded ends (Actuator Rotork IQ series).

A pressure control valve is used for controlling the pipeline operating pressure .

A metering station is installed to calculate jet fuel delivered quantity  consisting of  a Positive Displacement Meter and the relevant flow control unit, a deaerator, a basket filter and a paper microfilter. This metering station is also certified for custody transfer. Adequate sampling devices are provided in order to check fuel quality. Fuel pressure in Airport tank farm should be lower during fuel transfer compared to the pipeline design pressure. In case of failure  a pressure relief valve is installed, capable of receiving maximum flow rate, and is installed downstream of the airport metering station. The pressure relief valve discharge is connected to the airport tank system.
